I have been writing poetry since high school. Recently I have been writing a poem a day since December 1st in honor of the life and work of Robert Bly, who was born in December, and created the Great Mother and New Father conference, a community that has nurtured me for almost fifty years. I am grateful for all I have learned there about transforming grief into art and about how to take myself seriously as a photographer and a writer.
