11/30: Xan Phillips

Y'all, KT sequenced these poems perfectly. I'm having so much fun coming up with prompts for these. Are you having fun writing?

Today we are reading "I Never Felt Comfortable in my Own Skin so I Made a New One" by Xan Phillips. I love the completely contemporary take on self-mythologizing this poem assumes.

It's time to think of the skin or public face we have collected over the years. What have you brought from childhood, from nature, from trauma, from humor? How did you build yourself. Be bold, don't be afraid to go big, because you ARE a legend.
